UK AI infrastructure startup Nscale to go public in 2026
Nscale, a UK-based AI infrastructure startup, is planning to go public by late 2026 after landing a huge $14 billion deal with Microsoft to deploy NVIDIA GPUs across the US and Europe.
Thanks to recent funding rounds, Nscale's valuation has jumped to $3.1 billion.
Nscale's mission? Simplifying AI cloud access for businesses
Launched in 2024 as a spinout from an Aussie Bitcoin mining operation, Nscale builds end-to-end AI cloud infrastructure—think data centers, GPUs, networking, storage, and software—all under one roof.
Their approach lets businesses tap into powerful AI tech without piecing it all together themselves.
Major Microsoft deal and IPO plans in the pipeline
Nscale pulled in $1.1 billion in Series B funding (September 2025). Bloomberg reported in January 2026 that Nscale was working on a $2 billion funding round.
CEO Josh Payne says he's focused on "execution" as they aim for an IPO in late 2026.
The Microsoft partnership will see Nscale rolling out approximately 200,000 NVIDIA GPUs across sites in Texas, Portugal, the UK, and Norway with deployments staggered across the coming years.
