US software firm Sonatype opens largest R&D center in Hyderabad
Sonatype, a US-based software company, just launched its largest research and development hub—right in Hyderabad.
This new office is all about pushing forward with AI innovation, open-source security, and rolling out products for users worldwide.
They're starting with 50 employees but have plans to grow fast, aiming for 200 team members within a year.
Why Sonatype chose Hyderabad for its 1st India office
Hyderabad's strong reputation as a tech hotspot made it the perfect pick for Sonatype's first India office.
CEO Bhagwat Swaroop described Hyderabad as "a magnet for the world's most innovative companies, making India the epicenter of software development powered by open source and AI," and local leaders like IT Secretary Sanjay Kumar were there to celebrate the opening.
The new center will bring together engineers, data scientists, and product leaders to work on cutting-edge AI security solutions—helping put Hyderabad even more firmly on the global tech map.
