UPSC result out 11 weeks early; Rajasthan doctor tops

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) for 2025. The results were declared about 11 weeks ahead of schedule, a move that has been noted by aspirants. Anuj Agnihotri from Rajasthan, who is currently working with the Delhi and Union Territories administration under DANICS after completing his MBBS from AIIMS Jodhpur, topped the exam.

Three women in top 10
The UPSC CSE 2025 results have three women in the top 10. Rajeshwari Suve M. secured the second rank, Zinnia Aurora was sixth, and Astha Jain was 10th. This year, a total of 958 candidates have been recommended for various services, including IAS, IFS, IPS, and Central Services-Group 'A' and Group 'B.'

Breakup of recommended candidates
Among the recommended candidates, 180 have been cleared for IAS, 55 for IFS, 150 for IPS, and others for Central Group 'A' and 'B' services. The distribution of candidates includes 317 from the general category, 104 from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 306 from Other Backward Classes (OBC), among others. A reserved list of 258 candidates has also been maintained by UPSC.

Exam conducted in 3 stages
The UPSC CSE 2025 examination was conducted in three stages. The preliminary exam was held on May 25, 2025, followed by the main examination from August 22-31. The final stage, a personality test, concluded on February 27, 2026. A total of 9,37,876 candidates applied for this year's examination, with a final count of over five lakh appearing for it.
