Bollywood actor Aamir Khan's sister, Nikhat Khan Hegde, has been announced as the latest addition to the cast of Prithviraj Sukumaran's upcoming directorial L2 Empuraan. The movie, which is set to hit theaters in just over a month on March 27, features Mohanlal in the lead role. Khan Hegde will be seen playing a character named Subhadra Ben in this highly anticipated sequel to Lucifer.

Sukumaran has been slowly unveiling the characters of L2 Empuraan on social media. The latest to be revealed was the 14th character, Subhadra Ben, who will be played by Khan Hegde. The announcement was made through a poster shared on his Instagram account, where Khan Hegde looks regal in traditional attire. While no other details about her role were revealed, her attire and character name hint she might play a character from western India.

Khan Hegde's journey in the film industry
Despite coming from a film family, Khan Hegde only started acting in the last few years. She has appeared in several Hindi films and series, including Pathaan with Shah Rukh Khan. Apart from her role in L2 Empuraan, she is also set to make a guest appearance in Aamir's next Sitaare Zameen Par. Meanwhile, L2 Empuraan—the second installment in the blockbuster Lucifer trilogy—also stars an ensemble cast including Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, and Manju Warrier along with Mohanlal.
