Mona Singh, known for her roles in The Ba***ds of Bollywood and Kaala Paani, is set to star in the upcoming spy comedy Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos. The film, backed by Aamir Khan Productions and co-directed by Vir Das and Kavi Shastri, will see Singh play a lead role alongside Das. Interestingly, Aamir Khan will also be part of the cast as Singh's father, a unique twist after she portrayed his mother in Laal Singh Chaddha.

At an event, Khan shared more details about Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos. He said, "Happy Patel is coming in January. It is a comedy film. It features Vir Das and Mona Singh." "Mona Singh is the one who played the role of my mother in LSC (Laal Singh Chaddha), now I am playing her father in Happy Patel." The film promises to be an entertaining ride with Singh at the center of the narrative and Das bringing his signature humor.

Imran Khan's return to cinema with 'Happy Patel'
The announcement video for Happy Patel also teased the return of actor Imran Khan to the big screen. He will be reuniting with Danish Aslam, who directed him in Break Ke Baad 15 years ago. In a recent interview, Imran described his upcoming project as "a natural progression" and said it is very much a personal project that came from the creative urge of wanting to tell a story and working with dear friends. Happy Patel releases on January 16.
