Born on January 13, 1983, actor Imran Khan is best known for his movie ‘Jaane Tu…. Ya Jaane Na' (2008), and ‘Delhi Belly’ (2011). An alumnus of New York Film Academy’ Khan made his acting debut in the 1988 movie ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’ as a child actor. As of 2021, he has appeared in 17 Bollywood movies. Some of his critically-lauded and commercially successful movies include ‘Kidnap’ (2008), ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ (2009), ‘Break Ke Baad’ (2010), ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ (2011), ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’ (2012), ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’ (2013), and ‘Katti Batti’ (2015). He is the recipient of one Filmfare Award. Khan married Avantika Malik, who is the niece of Raghav Bahl, the founder of the Network18 Group in a private ceremony in 2011. The couple has one child. They decided to part ways in 2019. He is the nephew of actors Aamir Khan, Faisal Khan, and Mansoor Khan. Indian film producer Nasir Hussain is his grandfather, and Indian actor Raj Zutshi is his stepfather. He is an avid supporter of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). He has been part of Stanford University’s TeachAIDS initiative which is a state-of-the-art worldwide approach to prevent HIV infections.
