Aditya Narayan bids adieu to 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa'
Television anchor and singer Aditya Narayan will no longer host reality show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa (SRGMP). While announcing the same, he wrote on Instagram, "With a heavy heart, I bid adieu to my hosting duties for a show that gave me my own identity as an adult, SaReGaMaPa." He had been a part of this show for nine long seasons.
"From an 18 year old teenager to a young man with a beautiful wife & baby daughter! 15years. 9 seasons. 350 episodes Time really does fly (sic)," Narayan (34) stated in his post. While the reason behind this decision was not revealed, buzz is that he will now concentrate on other projects, like music albums and acting projects on OTT and TV.
Reacting to Narayan's exit, Vishal Dadlani, composer and judge on the show said, "Your first SRGMP was my first SRGMP too, and for whatever its worth...I hope you change your mind (sic)." "Or, that the music you make is so incredibly loved and successful that you don't have the time to do TV!! That, I can live with. Jaa, Adi... Jee le apni zindagi!"
Notably, Narayan started his hosting career at 18 with the singing reality show. While talking of it, he had said once, "When I first set my foot in the world of television by hosting Sa Re Ga Ma Pa at the age of 18, I was being paid Rs. 7,500 per episode. It used to be a huge amount for me at that time."
Son of noted singer Udit Narayan, Narayan was popular since his childhood. His acting appearances in films like Rangeela (1995), Pardes (1997), and Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai (1998) were appreciated by all. As an adult, his first film was Shaapit (2010). He also had met his now-wife Shweta Agarwal on this movie's sets. They were blessed with a girl earlier this month.
