One of the most popular playback singers, songwriters, and music composers of the Indian music industry and part of the Vishal-Shekhar duo, Vishal Dadlani, has given some of the most notable songs to the music industry. In 1994, Dadlani started his music career with the music band ‘Pentagram’, which is regarded as the pioneer of Indian independent music. While fronting the band, he got an opportunity to sing, write and compose songs for ‘Jhankaar Beats’, ‘Bluff Master’ and ‘Salaam Namaste’. In 1999, the music duo ‘Vishal-Shekar’ was formed, and they have worked in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Marathi films. He has composed and sung songs from 'Jhankaar Beats’,‘Om Shanti Om’,‘Dostana’, ‘Student of the Year’, ‘Chennai Express’, ‘Sultan’, and other numerous hit movies of Hindi cinema. Dadlani has also been the lyricist of many award-winning songs, including ‘Allah Ke Bande’, ‘Ajab Si’, ‘Chammak Challo’ and ‘Bin Tere’. He has been nominated for many Filmfare Awards, International Indian Film Academy Awards, and Global Indian Music Academy Awards.
