As is common knowledge, Amitabh Bachchan takes his social media presence rather seriously. The 77-year-old megastar never misses out an opportunity to share candid throwback pictures of his family. Something similar happened on Friday, when Big B took to his Twitter account to share the picture of an old letter written by Abhishek to him. Check out the adorable letter here.

Abhishek wrote letter when Amitabh was on an outstation schedule

Captioning the post as "Abhishek in his glory," Amitabh shared the image of the letter written by a younger Abhishek, from a time when he was away for a long outstation shoot schedule. He added a Hindi couplet in praise of Abhishek, which roughly translates to, "Why bequeath wealth to an unworthy son, Why bequeath wealth to a worthy son."

As Amitabh completed 50 years in Bollywood, Abhishek got emotional

Making joke of his own letter, Abhishek shared the post and captioned it, "evidently before I took a creative letter writing course (sic)." On a related note, recently, as Amitabh completed 50 years in Bollywood, Abhishek took to Instagram to express his feelings. "Not just as a son, but as an actor and a fan... We are all blessed to witness greatness!," he wrote.

However, Amitabh has not been keeping well

Talking of Amitabh, the legendary actor was recently in the news due to concerns over his health. Moreover, he was to attend the Kolkata International Film Festival, but he canceled his visit and shared an image of himself resting in a makeshift hospital bed at his home in Mumbai. Last month too, Amitabh was admitted to Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital for routine check-up.

Separately, on the work front, Amitabh has recently finished shooting of popular quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati. Meanwhile, he is set to star in Nagraj Manjule's Jhund, Ayan Mukerji's ambitious fantasy drama Brahmastra, Chehre, and Shoojit Sircar directorial Gulabo Sitabo. On the other hand, Abhishek will next be seen in Anurag Basu's upcoming untitled project alongside Rajkummar Rao, and Kookie Gulati's The Big Bull.
