#AndazApnaApna: Salman, Aamir to romance younger actresses in the sequel

    What's the story

Bollywood's cult classic Andaz Apna Apna, starring Salman Khan and Aamir Khan, is all set to revive its magic.

Its sequel, reuniting the two Khans onscreen after a gap of 25 years, was recently announced. However, details about their exact roles are still inadequate.

Meanwhile, writer Dilip Shukla has revealed that both the superstars would be romancing young actresses in the sequel.

    Special appearance

Raveena, Karisma to make a special appearance in the sequel

According to media reports, Shukla stated that the new addition in the storyline has been made to add humor to the plot.

The report further suggested that Andaz Apna Apna sequel will also have a special appearance by Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon.

Notably, the divas played Salman and Aamir's love interests in the 1994 release which was helmed by Rajkumar Santoshi.

    Statement

I've to bring something more attractive than the original: Shukla

Earlier, Shukla had stated that writing the sequel is quite a challenge for him.

"I have to bring something more attractive in comparison to the earlier one," he added.

Shukla had also revealed that while the much-talked-about sequel would be incomplete without Salman and Aamir, there "will be three new cast members" along with the Khans. Who will they be, only time will tell.

    Comeback

Crime Master Gogo to also make a major comeback

Apart from Amar-Prem aka Aamir-Salman, the sequel will, reportedly, also have a comeback of the iconic character of Crime Master Gogo.

Originally played by Shakti Kapoor, Crime Master Gogo will be portrayed by a "contemporary actor and his character will be more stylized and modern".

The movie will be set in 2019 and is expected to be a massive laughter riot.

    Speculations

Ranveer, Varun, Ranbir were being thought of for the sequel

Interestingly, speculations about Andaz Apna Apna's sequel and its cast have been rife for a while now.

It was reported that actors Ranveer Singh and Varun Dhawan have been approached to portray the happy-go-lucky characters of Amar and Prem in the sequel.

Further, Ranbir Kapoor's name was also doing the rounds for the movie.

However, no official announcement has been made so far.

    Support

Aamir also vouches for Ranveer, Varun for the sequel

Aamir has also vouched for Ranveer-Varun for the sequel.

"Andaz Apna Apna is a film that people have loved immensely, so I'm sure they would love to see it. As an audience, I'd love to see what Ranveer, Varun or any of the young actors would do with the characters," Aamir said.

Ranveer-Varun have great comic timing, so they might be an apt choice.

    Eagerness

Ranveer is keen to be a part of the sequel

Naturally, Ranveer is keen to be a part of the sequel. In fact, he also expressed his desire to be a part of the cult-classic while interacting with a fan on Twitter.

However, he further mentioned it would be quite difficult to live up to the expectations of the cult movie because "you've got a big responsibility as it's one of those timeless comedies".
