'Apne 2' called off after Dharmendra's passing, confirms director Anil Sharma

Director Anil Sharma has canceled the much-awaited Apne 2 following the death of legendary actor Dharmendra earlier this week.
The film, meant to bring together three generations of the Deol family, had its script ready and preparations underway, but plans ended abruptly with Dharmendra's passing.

"Apne can't happen without Dharamji," says Sharma

Sharma shared that making Apne 2 without Dharmendra just didn't feel right: "Without Dharamji, it's impossible."
He reflected on their close bond—having worked on multiple films together—and recalled Dharmendra's deep love for the camera.
For fans wanting a final tribute, Dharmendra's last film Ikkis is set to release.
