Arijit Singh
Music Singer
The golden voice of the Indian music industry, Arijit Singh, kicked off his singing and music career with the reality show 'Fame Gurukul' in 2005. Born and brought up in Jiaganj of West Bengal's Murshidabad, Singh has come a long way to become the "king of playback singing." He belongs to a musical family and underwent Indian classical music training by Rajendra Prasad Hazari. 'Agent Vinod', 'Cocktail', 'Barfi!', and '1920: Evil Returns' are some of the earliest movies he worked on. However, his breakthrough came with the 2013 film 'Aashiqui 2' and the movie's songs caught everyone's attention. Since then, Singh has been a key playback singer for many Bollywood movies, including 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', 'Raaz Reboot', and 'Half Girlfriend', among other. He also made his debut in the Tamil film industry in 2015 with the 'Neeye Vaazhkai Enbena' song from 'Pugazh'. Exploring the vocals and music style further, Singh released his first-ever single 'Rihaa' under his banner Oriyon Music in Hindi and Bengali in October 2020. He is a proud recipient of four Mirchi Music Awards, six Filmfare Awards, three IIFA Awards, two Screen Awards, two Zee Cine Awards, and a Stardust Award.
