Arthur Curry, popularly known as the superhero Aquaman, is a fictional character in the American media franchise called the DC Extended Universe. Aquaman has been created by artists Mort Weisinger and Paul Norris and it first appeared in the ‘More Fun Comics’ #73. American actor Jason Momoa portrays the character of Aquaman. The character was made the lead subject of his own film titled ‘Aquaman’ after appearing in the ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,’ and ‘Justice League.’ Curry, who belongs to the royal family of Atlantis, is characterized as an adventurer who is half-Atlantean and half-human. Aquaman’s superhero powers include telepathic control over marine life, superhuman strength, and the ability to survive on land and water. He was born to Amnesty Bay lighthouse keeper Tom Curry and Atlantean queen Atlanna. Aquaman was also the founding member of the Justice League during the late 1950s and 1960s which was known as the Silver Age.
