Ashwin Ramkumar is known to most people as the ex-husband of Soundarya Rajinikanth, the daughter of one of the biggest film stars to be born in India. Being the former son-in-law of Rajinikanth, his identity was always connected to the Rajinikanth family, but Ramkumar never shied away from showing who he was as an individual. Ramkumar graduated in Civil Engineering from SRM Engineering College in 2002. After that, he attended Stanford University and completed his Master of Science degree in Construction Management. He began his career as a Project Engineer in Swinton Builders in 2004. Ramkumar joined KSV Constructions in 2005. He became the Managing Director of the firm in 2010. In 207, he started his own construction firm ProManage Construction Services. Ramkumar married Soundarya Rajinikanth in 2010 after a whirlwind romance. However, owing to differences in opinions, they got divorced in 2017. They have a son named Ved Krishna together.
