'Bads of Bollywood': Red Chillies moves court against Sameer Wankhede

Red Chillies Entertainment—run by Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan—is asking the court to toss out a defamation suit from ex-NCB officer Sameer Wankhede.
The issue? Aryan Khan's satirical web series "Bads of Bollywood," which pokes fun at the film industry with over-the-top characters.

What's the legal battle about?

Wankhede claims a character in the series is based on him and wants those scenes removed.
But Red Chillies says the character is fictional, part of protected satire, and didn't damage Wankhede's reputation—especially since he was already under public scrutiny after Aryan's 2021 arrest.
The company also argues that cutting these scenes would mess with the story.
The next court date is set for November 10.
