Bhojpuri actor involved in ₹3.5 lakh credit card scam
Dilip Kumar Sahu, a Bhojpuri actor and YouTuber, has been arrested for allegedly scamming a Mumbai BEST bus driver out of ₹3.5 lakh through a credit card fraud.
The driver responded to an ad offering easy cash for credit card swipes at a 2.5% commission and shared his card details with Sahu.
How the scam played out
After an initial small payout, the driver trusted Sahu with his credit card info and OTPs for a larger transaction—only to have ₹3.5 lakh taken from his account with no refund in sight.
Even after repeated promises to pay back, the money never came through.
Police later found that Sahu had pulled similar scams in other areas and already had cases against him in Uttar Pradesh.
Accused in custody until July 1
Sahu was tracked down in Kaushambi, UP, brought back to Mumbai, and is now in custody until July 1.
The case is still under investigation as police look into more possible victims and try to recover the stolen money.
