    Last week, Sonali Bendre informed about her metastatic cancer, sending shock waves across the nation. After the heartbreaking announcement, Bendre received tons of messages from her peers in Bollywood who wished her a speedy recovery. Among those wishes, was also actress Manisha Koirala's message and Sonali Bendre said the former was her inspiration. Koirala is a cancer survivor.

    Twitter exchange between Manisha and Sonali is heartwarming

    After learning of Sonali Bendre's health condition, Manisha Koirala tweeted: By the grace of God all will be fine and you will be back home soon with good news. Sending love n prayers my friend. To this, Sonali Bendre replied: Thank you Manisha you are my inspiration. Further, Manisha said Sonali will shine more after it's all done, and sent her more love.

    'Fighter' Manisha Koirala didn't let cancer define her life

    Manisha Koirala was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2012 but fought the disease and didn't let it dictate her life. "The six-month ordeal has made me value relationships and people lot more. You realize what is essential and what's not in your life," Koirala had said once when talking about cancer. She even gave an inspiring TED talk on battling the disease.

    Another cancer survivor, Lisa Ray also has message for Sonali

    Actress Lisa Ray, who was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2009, also sent best wishes to Sonali Bendre. On Twitter, Ray wrote: "Dear @iamsonalibendre you are in my thoughts. Words often fall short and I've learned that's okay, but I do want to send love." Sonali Bendre does have a lot of love and support from everyone and we hope she gets well soon.
