'Dacoit' teaser: See Adivi Sesh-Mrunal Thakur in a heist

The much-awaited teaser of the upcoming thriller Dacoit, featuring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur in lead roles, was released on Thursday. The movie also marks Anurag Kashyap's Telugu debut. The teaser first look hints at a fractured love story between Sesh and Thakur's characters, who are robbers on a heist. It also features a fun reference to actor Nagarjuna.

'Dacoit' teaser showcases Sesh and Thakur's intense chemistry
The teaser begins with Sesh discussing his plan with a friend, revealing that Thakur has agreed to go along with it. However, the tone quickly shifts to action mode as Thakur takes control of the situation. The remixed version of Kanne Pettaro from Nagarjuna's 1994 film Hello Brother plays in the background as bullets fly and chaos reigns. The film also stars Prakash Raj, Atul Kulkarni, Sunil, Zayn Marie Khan, and Kamakshi Bhaskarla.

Release date
'Dacoit' set for Ugadi release
Directed by Shaneil Deo and produced by Supriya Yarlagadda, Dacoit is set to hit theaters on March 19, 2026. The film was originally slated for a Christmas release and was supposed to feature Shruti Haasan opposite Sesh. However, after Haasan exited the project due to creative differences, Sesh clarified there was no rift between them.
