Dick Grayson: News
Dick Grayson is a fictional superhero character that appears in the American comic book published by DC Comics. The character has been created by popular artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger. Grayson was once considered Batman’s sidekick and crime partner Robin before he assumed his superhero personality of Nightwing. The character had first appeared in April 1940 in Detective Comics #38 as Robin. As Robin, Grayson was seen in most of the media adaptations of Batman including ‘Batman & Robin’ and ‘Batman Forever.’ Throughout Grayson’s adolescence, both Grayson and Batman were inseparable. But after becoming an adult, Grayson began spending more time as the leader of Teen Titans and decided to change his identity to Nightwing. He took on the new identity to declare his independence. As Nightwing, Grayson led the Teen Titans, and later on, he became the leader of the Outsiders. As Nightwing, Grayson is a master in different unarmed combat forms like Samo, Aikido, Kung Fu, western Boxing, Hapkido, Karate, and Judo, among several others. The 1990s Batman animated series showed the evolution of Grayson into Nightwing.
