Speaking on Shekhar Suman's chat show Shekhar Tonite, he revealed that he was completely unaware of any threats leading to such an attack. That same year, multiple rounds were fired outside Khan's Galaxy Apartments residence in Mumbai's Bandra area by assailants believed to be connected to the Bishnoi gang.

Recent attack outside Guru Randhawa's gym

Most recently, gunshots were reported outside a gym owned by Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa in Delhi's Paschim Vihar. No injuries were reported, and investigators recovered seven empty cartridges from the scene. The case led to the arrest of two alleged members of the Bishnoi gang. For the unversed, the Bishnoi gang is targeting Khan because of his alleged involvement in the 1998 poaching of two blackbucks in Rajasthan. The Bishnoi community is known to worship the blackbuck.
