Jaideep Ahlawat wants 'An Action Hero' to re-release in theaters

In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, actor Jaideep Ahlawat voiced his support for the re-release of his 2022 film An Action Hero. Despite positive reviews, the film couldn't pull audiences during its initial run. Ahlawat said, "I feel ek baar re-release kar deni chahiye. Shayad kuch toh faayda hoga." The film, co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana, was directed by Anirudh Iyer.

Ahlawat expressed his anger at the audience for ignoring An Action Hero when it was released initially. He said, "I used to get angry and used to wonder, 'These people watch so many films in cinemas. But when such a beautiful film like An Action Hero was released, they gave it a miss.'" "I guess it happens with certain films. But your idea is a good one. An Action Hero deserves to re-release." The film is currently streaming on Netflix.

Ahlawat's recent series and upcoming projects
Ahlawat is now gearing up for his next film Jewel Thief - The Heist Begins, opposite Saif Ali Khan. Calling the film a "fast-paced roller coaster ride," he spoke about how much he enjoyed working with Khan. He also spoke about another project Hisaab, directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, saying it has a "very different story" and will make for an interesting watch. Ahlawat was recently seen in Amazon Prime Video's Paatal Lok Season 2.
