'Force 3': John Abraham returns, Harshvardhan Rane joins cast
What's the story
The third installment of the Force franchise is all set to bring back ACP Yashvardhan Singh, played by John Abraham, in a new avatar. A recently leaked image acquired by Bollywood Hungama has given fans a sneak peek into the film's sets. The candid shot features Abraham with new cast members Harshvardhan Rane and Tanya Maniktala, along with director Bhav Dhulia.
Directional change
Dhulia to steer 'Force 3' away from stylized stunts
Dhulia, who has been praised for his realistic portrayal of crime in Khakee: The Bihar Chapter, is likely to steer Force 3 away from stylized stunts. Instead, he will reportedly focus on the raw and "desi" action that made the first film a cult classic. Rane, fresh off his success with Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, has often expressed his admiration for Abraham and called him a mentor.

Maniktala's character to be significant departure from traditional roles
Maniktala, known for her performances in A Suitable Boy and Kill, adds glamor to the project. She was seen in an ethnic outfit in the leaked photo, but industry insiders have hinted that her character will be a significant departure from traditional "flowerpot" roles. A source said, "The film is officially going on floors this March, and the scale is massive." Meanwhile, Abraham has reportedly reacquired the rights to the franchise so that he can control its direction.
