Johar explained that the actor was lured by an advertisement for a limited edition designer ensemble on Instagram. The outfit, originally priced at ₹4.5L, was being offered at a significantly reduced price of ₹82,000. "She thought, 'Wow, what a deal.' She DMed them and they immediately responded," he said. After receiving detailed pictures of the gown from the scammers, she sent the money through her UPI ID but never received her purchase.
