Malaika Arora's father, Anil Mehta, passed away on Wednesday morning in a tragic incident. The post-mortem report has reportedly revealed that the cause of death was "multiple injuries." The post-mortem was conducted on Wednesday night at around 8:00pm, as reported by News18. Earlier, it was reported that Mehta had allegedly died by suicide. Arora's mother, Joyce Polycarp, had found him in a critical condition outside their residence.

Mehta was found in a critical condition outside his residence in Bandra, Mumbai. He was rushed to the nearby Lilavati Hospital, where he was declared brought dead. The incident reportedly occurred at around 9:00am on Wednesday. Sources close to the family stated that Mehta usually sat on the balcony and read newspapers every morning. On Wednesday, when Polycarp noticed his slippers in the living room, she went to look for him, only to discover the tragedy.
Mehta had called daughters before the tragic death
Before the incident, Mehta had reportedly called his daughters, Malaika and Amrita Arora, saying, "I'm tired." A police source told ETimes that the call details indicated that he had called Amrita, who was closer to him. The family has requested privacy during this difficult time. "Our family is in deep shock over this loss, and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time," read an official statement issued by Malaika on Wednesday night.
