What's the story
Theaters are houseful with advanced bookings this weekend across the country for Barbie and Oppenheimer. For the ones not able to make it to the theater or those who don't want to step out in the crowd, the OTT platforms have a plethora of titles for you to binge-watch. From Janhvi Kapoor-Varun Dhawan's Bawaal to Vijay Varma's Kaalkoot, here's the list for this weekend.

'Bawaal' (Amazon Prime Video- Friday)
Starring Dhawan and Kapoor, Bawaal is a "timeless love story" backed by Sajid Nadiadwala. The story follows a Lucknow school teacher, idolized by his students, and admired by everyone in town and a bright, beautiful yet simple girl, whose only hope is to find her one true love. But love is never easy, and has to pass through a war of its own.

'Trial Period' (JioCinema- Friday)
The romantic drama film Trial Period stars Genelia Deshmukh, Manav Kaul, Gajraj Rao, Sheeba Chadha, Shakti Kapoor, Barun Chanda, Swaroopa Ghosh, and Zidane Braz. Directed by Aleya Sen (Badhaai Ho), Trial Period follows a working single mother (Deshmukh) whose world turns upside down when her six-year-old son demands a new father (Kaul) on a 30-day 'trial period' basis.

'Kalkoot' (JioCinema- Friday)
Starring Vijay Varma and Shweta Tripathi, the crime drama series Kaalkoot is written by Arunabh Kumar and Sumit Saxena and directed by Saxena. It also features Seema Biswas, Yashpal Sharma, Gopal Dutt, and Suzanna Mukherjee. The series focuses on a driven police officer who balances his personal and professional obligations while working to solve an acid attack case.

'They Cloned Tyrone' (Netflix- Friday)
The American sci-fi comedy mystery film They Cloned Tyrone is the directorial debut of Juel Taylor in feature films. It stars John Boyega, Teyonah Parris, and Jamie Foxx as an odd trio who discover a government cloning plot following some eerie events. It was intended to be a genre-defying homage to the 1970s Blaxploitation films, with elements of satire, horror, and absurdist humor.

'Sweet Magnolias' Season 3 (Netflix- Thursday)
Sweet Magnolias is back with its third season. The first season of the romantic drama series premiered on Netflix in May 2020 followed by the second in February 2022. The series follows three South Carolina women who are best friends since childhood as they "lift each other up as they juggle relationships, family and careers in the small Southern town of Serenity."
