What's the story

Days after Shoojit Sircar shared that Irrfan Khan is responding well to treatment, an unverified picture of the actor watching cricket at the Lord's stadium in London is doing the rounds of the Internet. The image was posted by Pakistani sports journalist Zainab Abbas on Twitter with the caption, "Pic shared by @Furqan013 - there's actor Irfan Khan enjoying the match at Lord's #ENGvPAK."

Details

The picture has divided Twitter into two sides

While some people are convinced that it's Irrfan in the picture, others believe that it's just a man who resembles the 'Hindi Medium' star. However, a user by the name Ali Nomi wrote, "He was sitting in front of me.. A few people came and asked him for a picture but he refused..i think because of his health. He looked really really weak."

Recovering

Irrfan is currently in the UK for his treatment

Irrfan, who was diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Tumour in March, is currently getting treated in the United Kingdom. Informing fans about his disease, Irrfan wrote on Twitter, "Learning that I've been diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Tumour as of now has admittedly been difficult, but the love and strength of those around me and that I found within me has brought me to a place of hope."

Context

Sircar's update on Irrfan's health was a sigh of relief

Speaking to a tabloid, Sircar said, "I've been speaking to both Irrfan and his wife, he's responding well to the treatment and trying to cope with the knowledge that he's battling Neuroendocrine Tumour by treating the recuperation in Europe like a short and unexpected holiday." Sircar has worked with Irrfan in 'Piku'.

Irrfan's next big screen outing will be 'Karwaan'

On the professional front, Irrfan will be next seen 'Karwaan' alongside Dulquer Salmaan and Mithila Palkar. Directed by Akarsh Khurana, the film will be out on August 10.
