Palash Sen supports Arijit's decision to quit playback singing
Palash Sen has shown support for Arijit Singh's decision to quit film playback singing.
On Instagram, Sen wrote, "The truth is I know why my bro, Arijit is quitting film playback. I was there way back & I chose my own path," sharing that he understands the pressure and need for creative freedom in the industry.
Arijit announced his decision on January 27
On January 27, 2026, Arijit announced he won't take on new playback singing gigs for films.
He said, "not gonna be taking any new assignments as a playback vocalist from now on."
Sen once revealed why he acted in 'Filhaal'
Sen—best known as Euphoria's frontman—once acted in the 2002 film Filhaal just so he could sing a song by Gulzar and Anu ji.
The movie flopped and critics weren't kind, but even after some award nominations, Sen said he wasn't interested in films to begin with and that he chose his own path—something he feels connects him with Arijit's choice now.
