Pankaj Kapur says son Shahid is 'completely' self-made

Veteran Bollywood actor Pankaj Kapur recently praised his children, including his son and fellow actor Shahid Kapoor. In an interview with Zoom, he said all of his kids are self-made and have never taken advantage of their family name. "If you win, you will get the confidence of a winner... And I have given that to all my children," he said. Apart from Kapoor, he's also father to Sanah Kapur and Ruhaan Kapur.

Kapur emphasized that he only contributed his genes to his children. "Shahid stood on his own feet and made it completely on his own wherever he is today. Yes, there was this thing that this man is always there...but in case required." "When I see any of my children working and standing on their feet...they don't tell that they are my children. They go and audition on their own...it's not because of their father's name or their brother's [Kapoor's] name."
