The Central Board of Film Certification in India, along with the censor boards in the UAE, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK, has cleared the film without any cuts. It has been given a UA 13+ certificate in India. Trade experts predict that it will earn around ₹2-3cr on opening day but strong word-of-mouth could boost collections over the weekend.

Plot of 'Haq'
Haq is inspired by a landmark judgment by the Supreme Court of India. It tells the story of Shazia Bano (Gautam), who is married to advocate Abbas Khan (Hashmi). After years of marriage and three children, Abbas remarries and brings another woman, Saira, home. One day, he announces triple talaq and abandons Shazia. She fights for justice and maintenance for her children's upbringing. Vartika Singh debuts as Saira while Sheeba Chadha and Aseem Hattangady play Shazia's court representatives.
