The duo, who previously worked together in Sanju (2018), was expected to reunite for a biopic. However, industry insiders have revealed that this project has been pushed to 2027 due to script delays and Kapoor's packed schedule. Meanwhile, Hirani is now focusing on his upcoming biopic of Dadasaheb Phalke with Aamir Khan.

Meanwhile, Hirani is busy with Khan
With the biopic on hold, Hirani has turned his attention to the Dadasaheb Phalke biopic with Khan. This project is set to go on floors in January 2026. An insider revealed that Khan has been preparing for this role for months by changing his look and participating in workshops. This will be Khan's first portrayal of a real-life pioneer of cinema, and Hirani aims to "give it the grandeur it deserves."
