What's the story
The much-anticipated ninth season of Koffee with Karan is set to premiere between October and November 2026, during the Diwali festival. Amid speculations about guest appearances, Variety India has reported that Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will be the first guest this season. What's more, this will mark a rare solo appearance for the actor, who has previously appeared on the show with family members.

Khan's previous appearances on the show
Khan, who avoided the coffee couch for the first three seasons of Karan Johar's talk show, finally made his debut in Season 4.
He returned for a second appearance in Season 5 Episode 6 to commemorate the show's 100th episode.
During these appearances, he was accompanied by his father and writer Salim Khan, and then by his brothers Sohail and Arbaaz.

Details about 'Koffee with Karan' Season 9
A source close to the show revealed that Khan has confirmed his participation for the premiere episode.
"While other details are being ironed out, they are in agreement that Khan should appear solo this year."
The new season of Koffee with Karan will be available on JioHotstar, a merged streaming platform of Disney+ Hotstar and JioCinema.
Johar has promised a "new syntax" with shorter segments and format changes to keep the content fresh.

This season, Koffee with Karan is expected to break its traditional guest list format. The show will not only feature stars from the Hindi film industry but also guests from South Indian cinema, OTT talent, and digital creators.
Currently, Johar can be seen hosting the game show The Traitors Season 2.
