The fourth installment of the popular franchise will see fan-favorite characters played by Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, and Paresh Rawal return in a new story with fresh comedic villains. "Firoz and his team of writers have been writing the script for Welcome 4. It is in the advanced stages now," a source close to production told Mid-Day.
Plot details
How original trio will be woven into the plot
The source added, "The scripting of Welcome 4 is being done in such a way that these three characters will be woven organically into the plot. The story will be completely different." Interestingly, Rawal will also appear in Welcome to the Jungle but won't reprise his role as Dr Ghungroo. Instead, he will play a different character.

What we know about the villains
The source also revealed that the fourth installment will introduce new villains. "Welcome 4 will have more than one lovable don who are more known for their comic capers and timing than their underworld deeds. Top leading actors are in talks for these roles." The film is expected to be a part of a "family universe that includes humor, glamor, and action." In earlier editions of the franchise, late actor Feroz Khan and Naseeruddin Shah played antagonists.
