Why Shaan never expected 'Behti Hawa...' to become big hit
What's the story
In a recent interview with Komal Nahta, renowned singer Shaan spoke about his views on certain songs and film soundtracks. He confessed that he never thought Behti Hawa Sa Tha Woh from 3 Idiots would become such a massive hit. The song plays during the opening credits of the film when Farhan (R Madhavan) receives a call from Chatur (Omi Vaidya).

'Woh meri galat fehmi thi...': Shaan
Shaan said, "I'll give you an example. I never imagined Behti Hawa Sa Tha Woh will work in such a big way."
"After all, it's a situational song. Aamir Khan is not even there when the song is played in the film."
"So, I wondered how the song would hold? Woh meri galat fehmi thi. The song had beautiful lyrics and great composition (smiles). It did so well."

Shaan's opinions on 'Saiyaara' music
Shaan also shared his thoughts on the hit soundtrack of Saiyaara (2025). Despite its immense popularity, he admitted that he wasn't a fan of the musical style.
"The music of Saiyaara was a big hit. But I am not a big fan of that style of music," he said. "It has more pathos and melancholy. I prefer happy, vibrant songs which uplift your mood."
Directed by Mohit Suri, Saiyaara was the debut film of Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda.
