I miss you: Sonu Sood writes emotional letter for parents

Rohit Shetty's Simmba' s dream run at the box office is continuing. With a stupendous collection of Rs. 212.43 cr, the movie is a hit. While the team can't stop gushing about Simmba, Sonu Sood got emotional after the movie's grand success. Sonu, who played antagonist Durva Ranade, wrote a heartwarming letter addressing his late parents and it left us teary-eyed.

With 'Simmba', Sonu gets his third Rs. 100 crore movie

Sonu has proved his worth time and again on the big screen. And, with Simmba, Sonu paved his way to the coveted Rs. 100 crore club for the third time after Dabangg and Happy New Year.

    Sonu misses his late parents

In the letter, Sonu shared his feelings for his late parents about how much he misses them at this moment of success. He wrote how his success felt incomplete without a call from his parents and that he wanted to see them enjoying his movies. Sonu lost his mother in 2007, while his father Shakti Sood passed away in 2016 due to cardiac arrest.

Sonu regrets his parents couldn't enjoy his success

Sonu further regretted that his parents couldn't enjoy his success and said that he failed as a son. "In the initial years when I was trying to learn the craft, I remember your motivational calls and letters, which I still have with me. Time flew too fast. Success came, but for whom I worked so hard for so long, couldn't enjoy it," he wrote.

Sonu makes special promise to his parents

Sonu concluded the letter with a promise to work hard. "Sometimes I wish, I could have made this happen faster. I am sorry mom and dad. I miss you every day when I succeed. I miss you every day when I fail. I will still work hard to make you proud. Stay happy wherever you are," he added.
