Taylor Swift's latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, has broken several major records on Spotify within 24 hours of its release. The 12-track album is said to have crashed the platform as fans rushed to stream it. Spotify confirmed that it became the most-streamed album in one day in 2025 after its release on Friday, October 3.
Record-breaking pre-saves
'Life of a Showgirl' was also the most pre-saved album
Spotify also announced that Swift's latest album broke the record for "most pre-saved album" with over six million pre-saves. This feat surpassed the previous record held by Swift's 2024 album, The Tortured Poets Department. The tracks featured on the album are The Fate of Ophelia, Elizabeth Taylor, Father Figure, Eldest Daughter, Opalite, Ruin The Friendship, Cancelled, The Life of A Showgirl, Wood, Wi$h Li$t, Honey, and Actually Romantic.

Record-breaking track
'The Fate of Ophelia' broke record for most-streamed song
Swift also broke her own record with the album. The track, The Fate of Ophelia, set a new Spotify record for the most-streamed song in a single day in the platform's history. It was previously held by Fortnight from The Tortured Poets Department album, with over 25 million listens. Meanwhile, The Life of a Showgirl is produced by Swedish musicians Max Martin and Shellback, who have previously worked with Swift on her album Red.
