'Baahubali' actor Tamannaah buys Versova apartment, pays double price
Tamannaah Bhatia, known for her stunning performance in Baahubali: The Beginning, has bought a new, lavish apartment in Versova, Mumbai. For this sea-facing flat, the 29-year-old has reportedly shelled out double the amount by paying Rs. 80,778 per square foot, along with a whopping Rs. 99.6 lakh as stamp duty for registration. The flat is located on the 14th floor of a 22-floor building.
Reports suggest that the actual rate per square feet falls between Rs. 35,000 and 40,000. Tamannaah's lavish abode gives a scenic view of the sea from all the four sides. She had signed an agreement with a builder named Sameer Bhojwani last month, reports said.
When Tamannaah was scouting for a home in Mumbai, this 2055 sqft apartment made her fall in love with it, and she took no time to set the deal at Rs. 16.6 crore. However, before moving in, the actress plans to spend Rs. 2 crore for interior designing. Interestingly, her family currently stays in an apartment in Lokhandwala complex, 3.3kms from Versova.
On a related note, Aamir Khan also bought a 9,000 sqft property on SV Road in Santa Cruz West. The 54-year-old purchased the commercial land for Rs. 35 crore, by the name of Aamir Khan Productions Pvt. Ltd, and has paid Rs. 37,854 per sqft.
On the work front, Tamannaah recently appeared in thriller-horror flick Khamoshi, where she played the role of a mute-deaf girl. Directed by Chakri Toleti, the movie also stars famous choreographer-actor Prabhu Deva in the lead. However, the movie turned out to be a failure at the box office. She will next be seen in Surender Reddy directorial, Sye Raa, also starring Amitabh Bachchan.
