The winner of Femina Miss India Universe 2004, Tanushree Dutta, is an actress and model working predominantly in the Hindi cinema. Dutta started her career in modeling and also won the Femina Miss India 2003 pageant held in Mumbai. After winning the title, she represented India in the Miss Universe 2004 pageant in Quito, Ecuador. Even though she did not win the title, she was ranked as the sixth runner-up. Dutta entered the entertainment industry with Bollywood movies. The release of ‘Chocolate’ and ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’ in 2005 marked her debut in Hindi cinema. In 2010, she made her debut with the film ‘Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai’ in Kollywood. However, none of Dutta's Bollywood movies did well at the box office. She was last seen in the movie ‘Apartment’ in 2010, and Dutta has not been spotted on the screen since then. In 2018, in an interview with ‘Zoom TV’, Dutta accused Nana Patekar of sexually harassing her on the sets of ‘Horn 'Ok' Pleassss’. Her revelation gave birth to the #MeToo movement in India.
