What's the story

Jacqueline Fernandez and the makers of 'Baaghi 2' have been at the receiving end for "ruining" Madhuri Dixit's classic dance number 'Ek Do Teen' from the film 'Tezaab'. Now, the director of the 1988 film, N Chandra, has expressed his ire over the remake and called it "crass beyond imagination." He has even vowed to take legal action against the 'Baaghi 2' team.

Jacqueline's number left Chandra reeling in anger

Highly disappointed after seeing the latest version, Chandra said, "I can't believe they've done this to 'Ek Do Teen'. It's crass beyond imagination. And Jacqueline doing Madhuri's number? Give me a break! It's like turning the Central Park into a botanical garden." "Madhuri danced with so much grace and innocence. This number is like a sex act," he added.

Context

The recreation has upset choreographer Saroj Khan as well

Chandra further said that Saroj Khan, who had choreographed Madhuri in the original version, is also appalled by the recreation. "I met Sarojji at Sridevi's prayer meeting. It was there that Sarojji marched up to me and said, 'Have you seen what they're doing to our 'Ek Do Teen" number?' I had no clue. We are definitely taking action," he stated.
