Epic tale

Epic's historical significance and relevance

The Valmiki Ramayana is one of the oldest Sanskrit epics and a cornerstone of Indian literature. It is believed to have been written between 500 and 100 BCE, comprising around 24,000 verses divided into seven books. The epic tells the story of Lord Ram, the prince of Ayodhya, his exile, the abduction of his wife Sita, and her eventual rescue. Incidentally, a glimpse of another film based on the Ramayana, Nitesh Tiwari's directorial, was also released today.
