Notably, Virat and Anushka met for the first time while shooting for a TV commercial, back in 2013. In an interview with Vogue, Virat once said, "The first time I met her (Anushka), I cracked a joke immediately. I was very nervous." The two made their first public appearance as couple in October 2014, when they attended an Indian Super League (ISL) match together.
