Waheeda, Jaya, Raza Murad attend Kamini Kaushal's prayer meet

Bollywood legends Waheeda Rehman, Jaya Bachchan, and Raza Murad gathered in Mumbai on Tuesday to pay their respects to veteran actor Kamini Kaushal.
Kaushal passed away peacefully at home last Thursday at the age of 98. Her funeral was held the next day with close family members by her side.

Who was she?

Kamini Kaushal—born Uma Kashyap in 1925—was a true Bollywood trailblazer, starring in over 70 films across seven decades.
She made history with her debut film Neecha Nagar (1946), which won top honors at Cannes—the only Indian film ever to do so.
Once among the highest-paid actors of her time, she worked alongside icons like Dilip Kumar and Raj Kapoor, later earning awards for roles in her nineties.
