Yash's mom says film promoter cheated her out of lakhs on debut movie

Pushpalatha, mother of Kannada star Yash, has accused film promoter Harish Arasu of cheating and criminal conspiracy during her first film project, Kothalavadi.
She says Arasu took nearly ₹65 lakh for promotions but didn't deliver, leaving Yash to cover over ₹21 lakh himself.
Pushpalatha also claims Arasu threatened her, demanded ₹27 lakh back, and spread negative buzz about the movie.

Police step in: FIR filed and investigation underway

Bengaluru police have registered an FIR against Arasu and four others for cheating, intimidation, defamation, and criminal conspiracy.
Both Pushpalatha and the film's director say they got threatening calls from the accused on 15 August 2024.
The case is now under investigation as police look into financial fraud and intimidation claims.
