Zaira Wasim is a 19-year-old former Bollywood actress, who had shot to fame instantly with her debut film, Dangal (2016), which emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film. The biographical sports film had her in the role of wrestler Geeta Phogat, with Aamir Khan playing her father, Mahavir Singh Phogat. Her next film was a year later, titled as Secret Superstar, while her last film was The Sky Is Pink in 2019. After this, she retired from acting, creating a huge controversy. Recently, she again landed in a soup, when she posted a tweet, purportedly justifying the ongoing locust attack. After massive backlash, she deleted her social media profiles, only to reactivate those, maintaining that her tweet was “taken out of context.”
