Abducted woman and children found in Haryana; 7 arrested
A woman and her two children were kidnapped at gunpoint by over a dozen armed men in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh. Her husband was shot and injured during the attack.
The whole incident was caught on video and quickly spread across social media.
Police have filed cases for kidnapping, attempted murder, assault, and illegal use of firearms.
Suspects arrested from Haryana
Police tracked the victims to Bhiwani, Haryana, and arrested the main accused Sanjay Rajput along with six others.
Investigators found that Rajput had a two-year relationship with the woman that reportedly caused family tensions leading up to the abduction.
The victims and suspects will be brought back to Madhya Pradesh for questioning.
Police have also seized vehicles used in the crime and announced a ₹10,000 reward for information on others still at large.
