Air India announces reduced or suspended services

After the tragic Ahmedabad crash that took at least 270 lives, Air India is hitting pause on several international routes from June 21 to at least July 15, 2025.
The move comes as the airline deals with longer flight times and tighter safety checks, especially with some Middle East airspace closed.

TL;DR

GoAir, Amritsar-London, Delhi-Nairobi routes fully suspended

Three routes—Delhi-Nairobi, Amritsar-London Gatwick, and Goa-London Gatwick—are fully suspended.
Sixteen other major routes (like Delhi-Toronto and Delhi-Chicago) are seeing fewer flights each week.
So if you've got travel plans abroad with Air India soon, double-check your booking.

Airline offering affected passengers full refunds

Air India says these cuts help them focus on extra safety inspections after the crash.
They're offering affected passengers free rescheduling, rebooking options, or full refunds—and they're apologizing for any hassle this causes.
Safety's their top priority right now.
