A Bengaluru man, Jagdish C, lost ₹1.29 crore after being tricked by a scammer he met on the QuackQuack dating app.
The fraudster, Meghna Reddy, gained his trust by claiming the money would help build an old-age home in her father's name.
Trusting her story, he sent multiple bank transfers over two days.

When the promised returns never showed up, Jagdish C promptly filed a complaint with the cybercrime police.
Authorities have registered a case and are investigating to track down those involved and recover his money.
