Bengaluru official suspended over survey lapses

BBMP has suspended Revenue Collector Peddaraju after CCTV caught survey teams putting stickers on homes without actually checking who lived there.
This was part of a bigger effort to map Scheduled Caste households across Karnataka, but the shortcut raised some serious questions.

Responding to the uproar, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said anyone missed during the door-to-door visits can still register online.
