Delhi's 1st-ever Ring Metro to be inaugurated on March 8
Delhi is about to get India's first-ever Ring Metro, with PM Modi inaugurating two new corridors on March 8, 2026.
This will finally close the Pink Line loop from Majlis Park to Maujpur-Babarpur, making it way easier to zip around the city without backtracking.
Pink and Magenta Line extensions
The Pink Line extension adds eight-10 fresh stations, including Burari and Yamuna Vihar, plus a cool double-decker bridge over the Yamuna.
The Magenta Line is also growing, with seven more stops connecting Deepali Chowk and Majlis Park.
All of this means more options and less hassle for daily commutes.
The upgrades are expected to reduce road traffic in the area
With substantial investment, this upgrade isn't just about shiny new stations—it's expected to seriously cut road traffic in Northeast Delhi and make getting across town smoother for everyone.
If you're tired of long rides or packed roads, this could be a real game-changer for your everyday travel.
