Delhi's air stays 'very poor' for 5 days straight—cold wave adds to worries
Delhi's air quality is still a big problem, with the AQI stuck at 341 on Tuesday—marking five days in a row of 'very poor' air.
Even though numbers dipped slightly since the weekend, pollution is still risky for everyone's health.
To make things tougher, the city experienced an early winter chill, dropping temperatures to 8.7°C—the coldest November day since 2022.
Ghaziabad tops pollution charts; Supreme Court says no blanket bans
Ghaziabad had it even worse, recording India's highest AQI at 401 on November 17—its first "severe" day this year.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court refused to order sweeping bans like halting construction across Delhi-NCR.
The bench explained that while pollution is serious, shutting everything down would hurt too many people's livelihoods and "Delhi cannot be brought to a standstill."
