Everyone in India is connected by Hindu culture: RSS chief

India

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat recently said that everyone in India—regardless of religion—shares the same ancestry and is connected by Hindu culture.
At a lecture on "100 Years of Sangh Journey: New Horizons," he remarked, "Knowingly or unknowingly, everybody follows Bharateeya culture, so nobody is Ahindu, and every Hindu must realize he is a Hindu, because being Hindu means being responsible for Bharat," suggesting that Indian identity goes beyond labels.

Political power not goal in bringing Hindus together: Bhagwat

Bhagwat emphasized that bringing Hindus together is about honoring the country ("the glory of Bharat Mata"), not chasing political power.
He called for unity across caste and regional lines, encouraging everyone to see themselves as part of a bigger whole.

'Being Hindu all-embracing'

He described being Hindu as "all-embracing," including people of all backgrounds—a message even his critics appreciated this year.
Bhagwat also urged respect and humility from leaders, while supporting open conversations with non-Hindus to build understanding and harmony among all Indians.
